This disclosure explains how artificial intelligence and automation in Hugo may act with respect to your workspace and connected systems. It is informational and works alongside our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Acceptable Use Policy.

1. What can happen when you use Hugo AI and automations

Depending on features you enable and integrations you connect, Hugo may:

  • Send or draft messages — for example email replies or notifications initiated through the agent or workflows, using connections you authorized (such as mail providers).
  • Read or update customer or operational data visible to your account — such as tasks, calendar events, files, mail metadata or content, CRM fields, or finance records — to answer questions, complete tools, or execute workflows you configured.
  • Trigger workflows — starting or continuing automation runs (scheduled or event-driven) that create records, call external APIs, or notify users.

Actions are intended to operate on your instructions and within OAuth scopes and permissions you approve for your organization.

2. Human judgment

AI-generated text and automated decisions can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate for a given context. You should review outputs before relying on them — especially for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions, or when communicating externally on behalf of your business.

3. Third parties and model providers

Hugo routes some requests to external model and infrastructure providers as described in our Privacy Policy and Trust & security overview. Those providers process prompts and context needed to generate responses; we do not use your workspace content to train public foundation models for Hugo unless we tell you otherwise in product or contract terms.

4. Control and revocation

You can limit exposure by disconnecting integrations, turning off agent or workflow features, adjusting workspace settings, and revoking OAuth grants at the provider when supported. Organization admins should align policies with their risk tolerance.

5. Abuse

Use of AI or automation must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Automated harassment, spam, or unauthorized access remains prohibited.
